Common Upload Rejection Cases

Most upload issues can be identified by the specific error message displayed in the bottom-right corner of the interface.

  • File Size Limits: Boast Image supports individual files up to 10MB. If your file exceeds this, you will receive an "Upload Rejected" notification stating the file is larger than the allowed bytes (approximately 10,485,760 bytes).

  • Unsupported File Types: While the platform supports a wide range of formats—including JPEG, JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, SVG, BMP, TIFF, and PDF—but if you attempt to upload a file type outside of these will result in a rejection.

  • PDF Processing Errors: When uploading a PDF, you must first click Convert PDF to PNG and then select Upload Converted Image. Skipping the conversion step will prevent the document from being added to the project.

Account and Storage Limitations

If your file meets all technical requirements but still fails to upload, check your current subscription tier for capacity limits.

  • Storage Capacity: Each plan has a total storage ceiling:

    • Free: 5GB total storage.

    • Solo: 20GB total storage.

    • Team: 50GB total storage.

    • Business: Unlimited storage.

  • Item Limits: On the Free plan, you are limited to 5 items per project. To upload more assets to a single project, you must upgrade to a paid tier which offers unlimited items.
